The Tale of Qiao is a literary masterpiece, praised by Pham Quynh: "As long as The Tale of Qiao persists, the Vietnamese language persists." However, its length and historical references make it difficult for modern audiences to fully appreciate. To bridge this gap, DeeDee created a simplified, engaging adaptation infused with humor, making it easier to understand and enjoy.

With complete creative freedom, our team explored various storytelling approaches, incorporating fun easter eggs and cameos. For instance, Wú Chéng'ēn resembles Liù Xiǎo Líng Tóng, and Táng Bóhǔ is inspired by Zhōuxīngchí. Even terms like Cử Giám and Cống Giám are visually translated for better retention.

Extensive research went into this project, from historical accuracy in Qiao’s era, architecture, and fashion to Thích Nhất Hạnh’s perspectives on The Tale of Qiao. This deep dive revealed fascinating insights, like Từ Hải’s past as a monk and Nguyễn Du’s decade-long travels in China.

Narration was a crucial element, requiring a voice that was both engaging and informative. After extensive searches, Quang Thắng, renowned for Táo Quân, was the perfect fit. His dedication and professionalism played a significant role in the project's success.

The audience’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, with educators showing appreciation. Media outlets like Lostbird, Ngôi Sao, and Saigoneer also praised the series, even ranking it among the Top 10 Must-Watch Videos during the pandemic’s stay-at-home period.
