“Set against the backdrop of the war, I would like to deep dive into the inner thoughts of a young man heading to the battlefield with a haunting thought still weighing on his mind.”

Home Again to unfulfilled dreams
Filmmaking techniques

Animation
The film is entirely hand-drawn, a deliberate choice to let our team of animators fully express their artistry especially in dynamic, expressive action scenes. The character designs are intentionally simple yet rooted in Vietnamese identity, allowing personality and culture to shine through movements and expressions.
We dedicated an entire year to hand-drawing the whole 8 minutes
One of the scenes was in the making for nearly 6 month

Background
The backgrounds are rendered in a realistic style, deeply inspired by the textures of post-war Vietnam: the yellow-stained walls of old houses, narrow alleyways lined with memories, the distant calls of street vendors, the morning routines of elders in the park. These are not just backdrops- they are emotional landscapes.
Choosing a challenging artistic route, the film features gouache-inspired backgrounds that require a profound understanding of color and a wealth of traditional handcrafting techniques
The artists went on many field trips to capture the most realistic and relatable details for every single frame
