For Netflix's How to Become a Cult Leader, 6 Point Harness collaborated with DeeDee to create animated sequences that enhanced the documentary's satirical storytelling. Unlike traditional animated productions, the challenge was not simply producing visually appealing scenes, but using animation to communicate complex historical narratives.

Because the series portrays real historical figures, the creative process extended beyond illustration. The team reinterpreted each personality through careful research, expressive acting and thoughtful posing while remaining faithful to the tone of the documentary.

Working within an end-to-end animation production pipeline, the team contributed across multiple disciplines - from storyboarding and character design to animation, FX, compositing, and final editing. Every stage was developed to support the documentary's rhythm and editorial structure, demonstrating how cinematic storytelling animation can strengthen nonfiction content rather than simply visualize it.

The final delivery received highly positive feedback from the client, who praised both the quality of the animation and the creative interpretation of the source material.

Created by Adele "Supreme" Williams, Oh My God... Yes! follows three best friends navigating a futuristic South Central Los Angeles filled with surreal technology, eccentric characters, and distinctly Gen Z American humor.

The biggest challenge wasn't animation quality, it was cultural authenticity. The series relies heavily on internet culture, slang, and comedic timing that cannot be translated literally. To capture the creator's intent, the directing and supervision team broke down each episode before production, analyzing character acting, comic rhythm, and performance choices in detail.

This close creative collaboration allowed the team to produce animation that felt natural to the show's unique voice while remaining faithful to the original direction. The series received positive feedback from both the show's creator and director, particularly for its expressive acting and character performance.

Case study: Supporting Premium Productions Beyond Animation

Sunny Side Down is a six-episode sci-fi comedy set inside a surreal diner floating at the edge of a black hole. Although each episode runs for only a few minutes, the production demanded the visual quality and consistency typically expected from premium animated series.

Beginning with Episode 3, DeeDee expanded its role beyond animation production by providing 2D animation directing across nearly every remaining episode. This was praised by the director of the show and the whole series has been well received by audiences on YouTube, with many viewers expressing hopes that it will continue as a longer-form production in the future.
