VTV3 Morning Coffee show: DeeDee Animation Studio and the Journey of Telling History Through Animation

DeeDee Animation Studio was honored to appear on Morning Coffee show, a morning program on VTV3, under the theme “When Animation Tells Historical Stories” sharing insights into its creative journey and the recent success of the short film Home Again at the Vietnam Film Festival.

The VTV crew visited DeeDee’s studio to film and conduct an interview with director Doan Anh Kiet, who shared DeeDee’s journey of developing animation in Vietnam. The program also highlighted the recent achievement of DeeDee’s short film Home Again, which was awarded the Silver Lotus Award at the 24th Vietnam Film Festival.

In his interview, director Anh Kiet emphasized that DeeDee consistently prioritizes cultural and historical themes in its storytelling, as those materials are an abundant and timeless source of inspiration. The recognition at this year’s Vietnam Film Festival further reinforces DeeDee’s creative direction and serves as a strong motivation for the studio to continue contributing to the growth of Vietnam’s animation industry, and to bring Vietnamese animation closer to international audiences.
